Recently, Akshay Kumar revealed in 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 14' that he has taught many women the virtues of staying safe after the 'Nirbhaya incident'.

He started learning martial arts at the age of 9 and has expertise in Taekwondo, Karate, and Muay Thai. On this basis, Akshay Kumar decided that he would teach martial arts to women to make them self-secured.

Akshay Kumar told on KBC 14 that when the 'Nirbhaya incident' happened, a year after that he started training women. The actor said, “After the Nirbhaya case in 2012, I started giving self-defense classes to women in 2013. Wherever I stand in my life today, the reason for that is not acting but martial arts, self-defense, and discipline. That's why I started self-defense classes in many places in India.
90 thousand women have been trained
Akshay Kumar has so far taught the qualities of self-protection or self-defense to 90 thousand of women. The actor said, “It has been 10 years since this campaign and till now we have trained 90 thousand women in martial arts for free.” Akshay Kumar told that he has also taught martial arts in Thailand for many years. He used to be a teacher of martial arts before acting.
