Rajkummar shared his experience in a conversation with Humans of Bombay, where he mentioned that 'Kai Po Che' was the film after which posters of him were put up all over the city. He said that he has very fond memories of the film, and it will always remain close to his heart.

Amit Sadh, who played one of the lead roles in the film, had earlier spoken about his relationship with Sushant on Chetan Bhagat's podcast. He said that for one and a half years, they were like "lovers" because they spent all their time together. He further added that if someone speaks badly about Rajkumar or Sushant, he feels sorry and angry.
