Recently, Alia Bhatt was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Actress for her stellar performance in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and Ranbir Kapoor was awarded the Best Actor Award for his powerful performance in 'Brahmastra'. . Ranbir is currently busy promoting his upcoming film 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar'.

Recently during a promotional event, the actor reacted to his and Alia winning the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Praising his wife, he said that she really deserves the award. Although he also said for himself that he does not feel that he is fully entitled to the Best Actor Award.

During the promotional event of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, Ranbir was asked about him and Alia winning the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Actor and Best Actress respectively. During this, Ranbir said that he is very grateful that he was honored with the Prestigious Award. He then added that he does not believe he fully deserves it as his performance in 'Brahmastra' was not that great. Ranbir said, “First of all, I am very grateful that I have been given this honor. I don't think I deserve it completely for 'Brahmastra'. There was no great acting performance. Whenever some award comes, of course, you feel very good.

On the other hand, Ranbir expressed great happiness over Alia Bhatt winning the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 'Gangubai' and also praised her performance. Ranbir said, “I am very excited that Alia won the award as she really deserved it for her performance in Gangubai. I think this is one of his best performances to date. He said, “But when you get the award, you get a pat on the back that you did the right thing.”
