During the promotional event of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, Ranbir was asked about him and Alia winning the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Actor and Best Actress respectively. During this, Ranbir said that he is very grateful that he was honored with the Prestigious Award. He then added that he does not believe he fully deserves it as his performance in 'Brahmastra' was not that great. Ranbir said, “First of all, I am very grateful that I have been given this honor. Ranbir said, “I am very excited that Alia won the award as she really deserved it for her performance in Gangubai. I think this is one of his best performances to date.
